JB Hi-Fi

I think it’s just second nature for me to call in to this JB Hi-​Fi when I’m at Marion now. They have ordered countless cds and vinyl, yes that’s right they do order vinyl records (although none of it is usually kept in store). For new release cds and vinyl, you really can’t beat their prices and this is normally my first stop for anything new.
The store is so well set out that I commonly find what I’m looking for without having to ask, even then the service is fantastic and the staff are some of the most helpful I’ve come across in any JB Hi-​Fi store. One guy even managed to track down a re-​issue of Neil Young’s ‘Harvest’ for me on vinyl at a drastically lower price than what I was going to pay for it online. Needless to say I was impressed and some form of order was restored to me in that retail businesses still do offer better services than online retailers in some cases!
It’d almost be considered criminal for me not to visit this JB Hi-​Fi when I’m at Marion. The best JB in South Australia in my opinion. Visiting often is a necessity!

Everyone knows what JB Hi-​Fi is, and if you don’t… Where the hell have you been? But all that aside, this one is my favourite in Adelaide that I have had the pleasure of venturing into. Mainly because it’s not as busy as the one in the city, but also because the staff are so much nicer.
I was walking around the store clutching to the Buffy the Vampire Slayer boxset with all my might, not willing to let it go, when one of the staff members came up to me and told me that in a weeks time, the single series discs were going on special and it would work out cheaper to buy them then rather than buying the boxset. It worked out to be almost $ 30 cheaper, so being a student I was all for it.
I didn’t end up buying it as within a weeks time I had spent the money that I would have spent on that boxset. Which makes me sad. Both for myself not owning Buffy, and for the really nice guy who just lost a sale. Oh well. Cheers for the help though mate!

This JB Hi-​Fi is my fave electronics/​technology/​entertainment store. For one thing all the staff look like they’ve stepped out of a punk/​emo film clip. I’m all for customer service that includes tatts and face piercings thanks very much. Also, the staff actually have a clue what their section is on about and have even been known to do excellent, almost wholesale prices to grab your sale. This is especially so when purchasing big-​ticket items like my Dj decks. They also have an excellent range of cds, dvds and blue-​ray and good prices and sales (for the retail sector). Don’t be intimidated by the burly security guard and the alarm gates at the storefront, but maybe don’t try to steal anything either. In a nutshell — entertainment city!
