I took my 93 year old mother in law there this week for lunch. Loved the location and easy access for a wheel chair. The staff were pleasant and plenty of choices on the menu. The only thing I was disappointed with was the antipasto. It was very greasy. However I will certainly go back there and try their pizzas which looked delicious.

Food here is amazing. I’ve eaten here plenty of times and it’s always good quality and tasty. Their creamy pasta and beef burgers are particularly good. Delivery is very fast and usually arrives half an hour earlier than expected.

Upon walking in and seeing the menu, I was surprised at all the options. I was just expecting a little place for a coffee and cake after taking a walk in the park, but this is not all they offer. I ordered a Mango Chicken Burger, and as it was mothers day, my mum ordered a risotto. The flavour of the burger was amazing, with the mango, avocado and the aioli, but the chips tasted like they were sitting around for a while. The risotto was not creamy like a risotto but had a «incredible taste». The building is in need of a renovation, but otherwise it is an amazing location. You might want to make a booking though, as it gets quite busy

I live near this café and often grab a pizza or dinner. The food is fairly consistently good however the staff change often and when placing a food order one feels lucky if you score someone who speaks reasonable English. They don’t have a license and I have the feeling some of the people who eat in are happy about that. AA members perhaps. I had breakfast here recently and it was great and I was pleased to see the place was busy. I would hate it to go under. Outside is dog friendly.

This place has deteriorated seriously since it opened. I think there are new owners because what was once a well priced friendly neighborhood café has turned sour. They now gouge you if you want to substitute one thing for another, eg a pizza topping — so swapping mushrooms for onion costs $ 2. When asked about it, I was given a diatribe about how hard it is with customers wanting to change things all the time — well that is what hospitality is about. This strikes me as plain greed. I don’t plan to return until they sort this out.

I live in this suburb, so I have been to Lakeside often for many years now and have seen it change hands quite a few times. Located on the man-made lakes of Oakden it is a perfect stopover with the kids or partner during a morning stroll. The owners now run it very efficiently and open later in the morning and stay open for tea. I have had quiet birthday dinners here, sharing pizza, pasta and breads. Lakeside also do takeaway and deliver, which is great seeing as I live less than a kilometre away but am lazy. They also serve ice-cream(gelati) and lots of cold drinks for active people in the area. Outside dining on the lake area is available and ducks often wander by. A great café in the suburbs for a Sunday breakfast or mid-afternoon ice-cream.
