History

Established in 1997.

Gardner Vaughan Group has evolved from an engineering consultancy, to a contractor specializing in design and construct projects, and to finally becoming an experienced development entity.

As an engineering consultancy, the current directors, Guy Gardner and Darryl Vaughan, were responsible for the engineering design of commercial buildings stretching from Huonville, Tasmania to Cairns, Queensland. Their particular expertise was the design of large structural timber projects such as aquatic centres, sports halls, churches, fertiliser stores and reservoir roofs. Because of their knowledge of timber design, Gardner Vaughan Group certified many of the building designer’s design aids in the residential market where the use of structural timber was more common. This association exposed the company to a huge raft of residential designs, and allowed them to gain an expertise in efficient and effect design of residential space.
