When I was travelling around I needed a space to stash my bigger items and U Store It was nothing but smooth ‘n’ easy. Which, let’s face it, is exactly what you want when you’re moving house/travelling/packing up your stuff. You’ve got bigger things to put your mind to guys. Positioned near the city end of the Parade, it’s pretty central if you’re in the Norwood area and units are pretty decently priced — we shopped around and were happy with it. Staff were friendly too and even better they sell all sizes of moving boxes at the front desk which came in SUPER handy!

I always think of that Jodie Foster movie, ‘The Silence of the Lambs’ but only because it was so spooky when she found the headless woman in the car and the head in the jar at the U Store It place. This is one of those facilities it is probably best to come to and store your stuff in the daylight rather than in the middle of the night — not because it is a spooky place — actually because it is a beautiful place, this is the heart of historic Norwood and this is the site of an old factory that made soft drinks. The building is quite beautiful to look at, so I like to visit and just admire the building. Otherwise it is a clean and surreal kind of place depending on what you are storing. I had a house full of belongings stored here for several months(the prices are pretty moderate as long as you are employed) so it made the place kind of strange. I could roll up the roller door in my area and more or less look directly at a culmination of a coupe of decades. Quite odd.
