French toast is divine! Great service — friendly and quick. A touch cold on a winter day those — could have done with a rug :-)

This restaurant has some of the best and freshest foods around. It is cute, lovely and hosted by the nicest people you could meet. It completely blew my mind the salads and atmosphere was second to none. I ate there 3 times in 4 days… don’t miss this treasure of food heaven!!! Cheers and can’t wait to go back… all the way from Califorinia!

The food is off tap! No other way to put it… well i could say delicious, mouth watering and so on. Its a very busy, fast paced café tucked away in a side street. The few times i have been blessed with their service i have had to wait but i assure you… its worth it. Staff are well mannered and polite. The meals are quite large when you compare them to other café services and the meals are definitely well priced. Highly recommend.

dukka eggs; who knew eggs could get more amazing. not I. and they were poached perfectly, still runny. the saffron infused peach and pomegranate seeds with Persian feta and generous helping of smashed avo was awesome, love that you didn’t skimp on portions even with such quality and local produce. so tasty. thank you.

Honestly, you can’t fault this café. Coffee, food, service, smiles & sweets. They’re often busy, but somehow always manage to make room. Great if you have kids yet easily sophisticated enough for a brunch date with friends.

A fantastic little neighborhood café — if only it was in my neighborhood! As with most good brunch places it was busy on the beautiful spring day that I visited however staff are onto it and let you know the approximate wait time — which was spot on. The interior is quirky with framed kitchen utensils hanging on the walls. There is lots of seating inside an options out the back and front too. I ordered the fritters which were crisp and light and came with a delicious sauce. Coffee is good and service even better.

Lots to like about Red Door. It’s far enough away from High St to avoid peak-hipster patronage, and thus retains a genuine neighbourhoodly feel. The small courtyard is cute and dog-friendly, the staff very welcoming and sprightly bunch, and the food fantastic. Just an all-round pretty perfect brunch nook.

Red Door is cute, has quick service and a gorgeous menu. They make hearty breakfasts and delicious lunches and best of all, they have a huge range of sauces, chutneys, jams and cakes for sale too! I’ve been here for a brunch a number of times,(the breakfast roll is a must!) and I’ve always had fantastic service and a yummy homemade honey joy to take home with me! It’s a bit of a walk from high street, but it’s definitely worth the walk! Highly Recommend!

From the outside and even from the photos on Unilocal,I wasn’t that excited to come to Red Door Corner Store. But what they delivered was one the best French toasts I’ve ever had and some good coffee. My friends had baked eggs and dukkah eggs which were both equally impressive. It’s a small little venue when the weekend crowd is in, but we got a seat pretty easily out the back. Price for 3 people was about $ 85 and included the breakfasts and multiple drinks each. I’m not even sure if that’s good value or not these days, but it neither felt cheap nor expensive. Thumbs up to this place!

Incredible. I enjoyed the kind of brunch you want to talk about for days but fear the eye rolling and glazed-over faces of those you encounter. The cheesy polenta haloumi dish was perfection. The service was friendly and fit out is warm and welcoming.

This place has it all! Lovely sunny outdoor area, perfect for brunching with puppies, excellent coffee, and broad range of delicious vegetarian and non vegetarian options which were very reasonably priced considering how yummy they were. Mains vary from $ 12 — $ 16

Red door corner store is an unpretentious gem. Amazing and interesting additions to the regular brunch items. And the regulars are by no means boring. The service was fantastic and accomodating to a large group with little ones. I cannot turn down mork hot chocolate and the lattes did not disappoint either. If anything my only complaint is that i couldnt have 2 brunchs :)

This café has just won my heart!!! Can’t wait to return to try more of their delicious menu. Today, because I’m on a bit of a detox, I was limited on choices but that did not matter because the spanner crab omelette was simply divine. My partner got the twice cooked duck brioche of which had me salivating just looking at it. Massive food envy!!! Oh well there will definitely be a next time. Heart!

Very creative menu — there really are some unique dishes available here, and they taste great. Friendly, efficient, non-invasive staff; good lounge/trip-hop music; modern and interesting interior design; very reasonable prices(especially when you consider the quality of the ingredients). Streetfront, indoor and garden seating. Highly recommended.

Heard lots of good things about this place so swung by for coffee and cake with a friend. This is nicely tucked out the way off the main high street so feels like you’ve stumbled upon a secret. Staff were super friendly and attentive — which gets a big thumbs up from me. Can’t comment on the menu but the cakes were delicious in fact we each had two! I will definitely come back for breakfast next time.

Great food, great service and happy, courteous staff. The last review by JC was the reason we came to Red Door Corner Store and it lived up to that review. Very pleased and have already mentioned to my friends!

Unexpectedly gorgeous surprise in Northcote! Tucked away and quiet, it’s like Northcote is keeping this place their own private secret! From first turning the corner and glimpsing the bright red door, to the moment I left, Red Door Corner Store was an absolute delight. It was a freezing but sunny Melbourne morning when I visited, and the very friendly staff offered to put on the heaters for me so I could sit outside. The almond milk latte was made to perfection, the gluten free bread tastes scarily good to be gluten free, the eggs were so fresh and the cabinet of goodies so tempting. I love the industrial feel inside, with quirky red bar stools and all sorts of fascinating utensils hanging on the walls. There’s even a secret outdoor eating area out the back — so many hidden surprises!

Just a perfect neighbourhood venue. First time here and will not be the last. Great service, coffee well prepared and food is very, very good. Menu has a good range of items, daily blackboard specials as well as cabinet food. They also sell a range of jams and chutneys. Was busy when we were there but did not feel crowded or the staff hassled. Highly recommend this café.

Red the colour of passion and love. Well I am both passionate and love the Red Door Corner Store! If there was ever a café worth going out of your way to check out, it is this place. The coffee is superb — with ever changing options of single origin blends to choose from, as well as the usual house blends that most cafes have, which are always extremely tasty. Their menu is on the unique and very very yummy side of the café spectrum. And their many baked goods are all superbly crafted. In fact there is little that the Red Door Corner Store doesn’t do well. Their staff are all knowledgeable, friendly, happy and attentive. And they sell a range of home made jams, conserves, chutneys and sauces that you can buy to take home with you. They also sell take-away freshly baked bread, if you are still feeling a little peckish are a veritable feast of Corner Store delights. I really can’t recommend this place enough. I even like the fact that it is situated in a back streets of Northcote — not another shop in sight.
