I chanced upon this joint while going for a walk on a lovely sunny spring day. I decided to go for a walk and ended up here. Yea ok Forrest on a slower pace. I went for a bowl of tofu with ginger sauce. It was deeeeelicious. The sauce really makes it. I shall return for more.

I love desserts in case you don’t know that already. Icey ice idesserts came up & a few of us decided to go there. It’s my first time there & was really excited. I was surprised by the lack of flavours as I thought they might hv a million flavours. Then again, I was only imagining things. I picked up a menu & it was so sticky. I felt uncomfortable straightway. I’m not a clean freak but that’s horrible! I had to look for a wet one to clean my sticky hands immediately! But with that little thing, I was kinda disgusted already. I quickly ordered & waited. Desserts didn’t take very long to arrive. Presentation was ok. I had the herbal jelly & it’s a cold dessert but it didn’t taste cold. There were crushed ice but maybe it’s not enough. Hubby enjoyed his mixed fruit icey ice, I tried it & it’s quite lovely. I won’t be hurrying to go back but if I happen to Hv a craving, I might.

A touch of Taiwan in Perth… I’d heard rumours about the desserts at this place, but not possessing much of a sweet tooth, I’d never bothered to go in until I saw pictures of noodles up in the window. If I’d known they served savoury Taiwanese goodies, I’d have visited a lot sooner! You see, I lived in Taiwan for seven years and consider it my second home. One glance at Icey Ice’s menu makes me all kinds of nostalgic. When it gets busy here it is extremely noisy and you can wait a long time for food. However, it’s easy to forgive this because the food is authentic, cheap and tasty. I enjoyed my noodles so much, it wouldn’t surprise me if I’m back again tomorrow. Two thumbs up!

I’d like to say that this stuff is better for you then ice cream, but I doubt it is! I haven’t had many of the puddings because I’ve had those at other Asian dessert places if you feel like something Icey cold and not too creamy then these are ideal. Especially on a hot summers night. Only thing I hate here is how disgustingly dirty all the tables were.

It’s a great product but it takes a long time to get it. Waited over fifteen minutes today and there was basically no one there. Same with the last three times I’ve been there. They could clear/clean the table a lot faster as well. Great product means I will return. For now.

Amaaaaaaazing. Thank you Jenny B for introducing me to jelly pieces over pearls in bubble tea — seriously life changing stuff! These bits of jelly(tapioca) taste faintly like apple till you bite into them and the flavour explodes, while you chew the crazily unique consistency of the jelly pieces. I gulped back the green tea variety with apple jelly, and highly recommend it. I found Icey Ice to be cheaper than most bubble tea joints I’ve been to. Only downside is the music, terrible teen music blaring from Channel V or similar was really, really loud. Luckily the bubble tea was so good I was able to create a bubble of deiciousness around my body that blocked away the sound while I was sipping. The smell of waffles was overpoweringly good and I watched with envy as people around me tucked into theirs. I’ll be back for lots of bubble teas in the future and definitely for the waffles!

I finally had my first Snow Ice and all I can say is, «I’ve been missing out!» It is so good… sweet without being overly filling. Actually, Snow Ice reminds me a lot of raspas, or snowcones if you will. But raspas isn’t the traditional ice and syrupy kool-aid on-top. Rather, raspas is a fine powdered ice with sauce and topped with cream(condensed milk). However, raspas don’t come with a side of Oreos… and, I’m a huge sucka for Oreos. If you’ve never had Bubble Tea… it’s time to treat yourself. I’m all about texture and I love gummy anything. A drink with something to «gum» on, is just what I’m looking for. I do wish they had a lot more flavors, but for now I’m still making the rounds.
