$ 20 to look at tree tops and walk? Nope. As a tourist here in Australia, you guys overcharge for everything but this one blew my mind. It literally is $ 20 to walk just over 1 km and look at vines and tree tops. There is nothing special about this.

Halfway up Tambourine mountain is this suspended skybridge walk. It’s a private venture so the $ 19.50 charged per adult is fair. There’s a large amount of infrastructure that’s gone in to setting these suspended walk ways up.
The walk runs through to Cedar Creek along the walk bridge in the canopy and then loops back along the ground.
At only 1.5km long it’s suitable for all fitness levels. No inclines or difficult sections.
Being above the lower layer of the forest then below really gives you an appreciation for everything you see in docos re. plants competing for light/​space. Everything’s competing and stretching for sunlight.
While the skywalk offers a unique experience for those who can’t/won’t walk further than 1.5−2 kms normally there’s nothing here that you couldn’t see yourself through the national park.

A nice walk. Don’t really think it was worth $ 20 though. A lot of the rainforest seemed to be covered in lantana which is a noxious weed! Pity!

We drove through here on the way to Surfers Paradise. It was a really pretty drive and we ended up here at the skywalk. It is a relatively short walk and you don’t have to be particularly fit. The skywalk itself is about maybe at best .5−1km long over the top of the rainforest. It is very pretty and you get the sounds of gushing water below you. The rest of the walk involves getting down onto the rainforest floor which again is a pretty easy walk. It cost about $ 20, but i would say worth it, as the walk was beautiful and i got to see water, cascades, awesome rainforest and great plants.

A nice little walk in the afternoon but very over-​priced to look at what is essentially a bunch of trees. I tired spotting native wildlife but it was no where to be seen.
