As promised, Game of Rhones is back for a second season, bigger and better for 2014! Get ready. Wine is coming… again.
Game of Rhones is a combative celebration of the classic grape varieties of the Rhone Valley in France. Think Shiraz, Grenache, Mourvedre, Carignan, Cinsault, Viognier, Marsanne and Roussanne to name a mere few. This will be your chance to taste and choose for yourself a favorite variety, style and maybe even a region.
There will be over 50 producers and over 150 wines on tasting; the range of styles, characters and diversity will be an assault on the senses. There will be something there for everyone.
We’ve amassed a posse of brilliant producers from all corners of Australia as well some «across the narrow» Tasman Sea. You’ll get to try wines from ‘Beyond the Wall,’ the spiritual Rhone home.
Food will be available to purchase on the day, and by food, we mean full animals cooked on the spit and broken down for your carnal pleasure.
