Okay, this is actually a backpackers hostel, so if you don’t like backpackers then this is probably not going to be the place for you. As for me, I don’t mind them, and I’ve never really had any trouble with them, so that is okay with me. As for this pub, I must say that this is a heaps cool pub. Mind you if you come here in your work clothes(suit and tie that is) you will probably look really out of place, which is why I had a quite change of clothes the last time I came here. What I really like about this place is the huge beer garden, and despite being a popular destination, I have always managed to find myself a seat, which is something I always like about a pub. It also has everything that you would expect in a backpackers pub, which includes cheap beer, so if you like the scene then you can’t go wrong here.

NOTES: ~ Very easy to get to in terms of public transportation. About a 20 minute walk from the city, and a 5 minute tram ride. It is right next to the trams too for very easy means of transportation! ~ They have special nights. Monday night is recession hour with cheap drinks. Wednesday offers special deals on wings. For the most part, I do enjoy coming to Turf’s. The vibe is very young and casual, which is pretty awesome. It is located right next to student accommodation(RMIT Village), so you will find a lot of university students there mainly. The prices for the drinks are pretty average, and the service is a bit rushed but quick(it might get very crowded on Mondays). They have the main building area complete with pool and a few little arcade games, a small dance floor, and an outer relaxation area. Again, all very casual so expect people to be dressing down and the floor to be a bit sticky! I recommend coming to this spot at least once, probably on a Monday when things are cheap. Fair warning: It gets pretty crowded and loud. However, I do have to say that I enjoy Turf’s.
