It turns out this this place is basically a backpackers hostel, though when I first walked past here it was more of a pub. Well, the fact that the backpackers part seems to dominate the pub part of this place suggests that not many people seem to think all that much of the pub, or at least avoid this place for someplace a lot more palpatable. I didn’t think this was a bad place, but there are certainly a lot better places for a drink within walking distance. They don’t have an outdoor area, but at least the front windows can open out so you can sit watching the world go by. Mind you, I wouldn’t say that this was the best place to people watch, but it’s okay.

Anyone who’s not a backpacker needs only ever go to Bev & Mick’s if they’re looking to shag a tourist in a bunk bed or to dance on a bar (they seem to really encourage that there).
It has a Coyote Ugly vibe, but is even less appealing than that sounds. The booze is cheap and so are the patrons. Enter at your own risk!
