McDonald’s Riverlink

One of my least favorite McDonald’s locations, on my most recent visit it took 4, count them 4, people to get my order of, wait for it, 4 sodas and that doesn’t even include the girl who took my order.
The staff are the least friendly in the business, and whilst I sympathize that they probably don’t want to be standing behind a McDonald’s counter serving people, that is indeed currently their job so the miserable faces and snarky attitudes are a bit over the top. Is it really that hard to smile and talk pleasantly to a customer?
Lastly the speed and function of this location is terrible. Place your order and you are handed a number and asked to stand over to the side until they have it ready in 10 or so minutes. They don’t call out numbers or have a display, oh no, the girl with your order simply raises a copy of your receipt slightly over the height of the counter for a few moments, then waits. If you didn’t see too bad. Who remembers when fast food meant fast, where the person taking your order turned around and got it for you, and where if it was going to take more than 30 seconds to put your order together they gave you a sincere apology, advised you of an exact wait time and offered you a refund if that wasn’t acceptable all without you having to say a word. A time when the food tasted good. You won’t get any of that here.
