Nollamara is a cute suburb that strikes me as a beautiful but seemingly tame place to grow up. Des Penman memorial Reserve is one of the largest parks in the area, just around the corner from the local shops it hosts a range of facilities.
Being lush with green grass and framed with some solid trees puts it streets ahead of the smaller Tony Marcon Park nearby. This park is also bordering tennis courts, making it a great recovery spot for some intense sporting enthusiasts. I was passing and didn’t make time to have a solid play– testing the grass under my feet but I could see great potential for this area, especially in the ball games and dog playing department.
If you like to get out and about and you find yourself around Nollamara, Des penman’s would be the park to see.
