While I agree this store is massive and has a marvellous selection, of just about everything I cannot echo the glowing sentiments of others. I live but 1 km from this store so it is certainly handy, if only the service was up to standard. I placed a special order for a common enough item which was not in stock. Usually they ring you, I had to go in on a day off a week later, to ask for the item or money back please. Said item was found, after much searching and faffing about. So a few inefficiencies and disorganisation . I do agree they are friendly and greet with a smile, please improve your service particularly at this store. Generally parking is not too bad and you can always find one.

How can anyone not like a store where every corner you turn unveils a whole new set of opportunities.(Yes, I love Bunnings. can you tell??) The staff here are always ready to help and always with a smile as well. I came in today to buy some timber to make a simple shelf and I needed it cut to size. They will cut your timber millimetre perfect and it only costs $ 1 per cut on top of the price of the wood. Bargain! The guy cutting my timber today was so helpful and even gave some friendly teasing when I had originally thought I had measured wrong. Even storing my timber in a safe place while I went back home to double check my measurements. You may not get this kind of service on weekends when it can get crazy busy, but you will always be greeted with a warm welcome, and staff willing to help out everyone from an avid DIY-er to the novice who just wants a paint brush,

Back in the day, I tarred hardware and haberdashery with the same brush: they should be be confined to a maximum of half an aisle at the supermarket. Stationary, on the other hand, should be set free to sprawl across hectares of warehouse space with bouquets of freshly sharpened pencils on the end of each aisle. Then I found Bunnings. This place is now my second home, I’m not at all handy but walking up and down the enormously wide aisles inspires me to construct stuff. The staff are crazy helpful and there always seems to be a green and red clad, apron wearing staff member nearby to assist. Plant shopping is super easy and the staff point me in the right direction when I(poorly) explain the spot I’m trying to fill in my garden. While I’m not a an of the sausage sizzle, I love the idea of it and it seems to piqué the interest of otherwise bored kids.

Bunnings is a great hardware store. They have really helpful staff and a good range to match. When developing an aeroponics system, I was able to get some really good advice from some of the staff and pick up a good range of components at a reasonable price. The price match guarantee is also great to ensure that you get good money for value. I generally buy quite a few plants and things from here but there is a wide range of stuff in this huge warehouse. There are electric timers, fertilisers, pumps, hoses, sprays and pretty much all your home renovation needs. Whilst it is not an all under one roof kind of hardware store, there is still enough to keep you going. Whilst I am not a big DIY person, I still find Bunnings to suit my very casual needs and with quite a large franchise and audience of people. The sausage sizzle they do on weekends is also quite nice so I can see why it would have quite a big appeal to those looking to do a home, garden or painting project.

I dread a trip to Bunnings so I can’t bring myself to say I’m a fan. It’s just that I’m not really into the home matinence/gardening side of house rearing. But I have found myself here for some un-homey activities. Such as looking for broom handles to make some quidditch goals with. Or searching for a toolbox to keep my baking supplies. Other times I’ve needed pieces of dowel to put up signs. Then of course there are the father’s day and mother’s day presents. This particular store is pretty huge(as most warehouse style stores are), and I imagine that you’d find everything you’d expect to find at any other Bunnings. I’ve never had someone seem not happy to help us. The one thing I do find is that the prices aren’t always as cheap as I’d hope. I’m usually looking for supplies for some random project(usually to make party decorations), and gee you’d think a thin piece of wood would be much cheaper. I suspect there are probably cheaper places to find all these things, but they probably aren’t as easy.
