Newport Pizza is consistently tasty. How about that for an opening line? What do you want in a pizza? One that’s tasty on a consistent basis. What I like about the pizza here is that a balance has been met. There’s not ridiculous amounts of topping and there’s not little of them either. Balance! The base is not overly thin and not thick either. Balance! Secret to a nice, tasty pizza? Quality topping that has a nice consistency throughout with the right balance. The Capricossa which costs(they all do) $ 13.90 for a large(quite cheap for the size and quality) is a good choice here. You won’t be disappointed. It’s a tasty pizza that satisfies. The Mexicana is also high up there, the cheese dances with the hot salami, capsicum, & hot chilli as if they’re in love. A nice fusion of taste happens with the oils flirting with the cheese and hot salami. Another tasty choice. The Lot is a little disappointing. Not that it’s Newport Pizza’s fault. Generally when you’re going to have a pizza with all the usual suspects, it’s not really going to nail the taste. It’s a confusing option and more or less confusing for your tastebuds. It’s okay and you will get through it without complaining, but it’s my least favourite option out of the three I have tried. Garlic Bread for $ 3.90 is a nice addition, it’s tasty, almost too plastic like. There’s nothing wrong with it, but it’s not an essential buy. Another highlight is, the pizza is not greasy, which is always a positive in my books. I have been inside a few times, but it’s not made for dining in. So it’s ideally made for pickup or delivery.
