I had scrambled eggs on sourdough. It was real good! The other girls had beans and chorizo, avocado/feta on sourdough. All in all we were happy with the food. Great atmosphere for Sunday brunch. Pretty busy though so you have to wait to get a seat. Nice deco, cute little café.

Sought this place out for a Sunday brunch. Setting is nice, with lots of good artisan everythings as other reviewers mentioned, well worth a browse. Staff seemed a bit poorly informed — took three of them to find out what the soup of the day was! I have a couple of niggles though… I don’t like sharing my cold drinks fridge with the kitchen salads and ingredients, and the freezer on the shop floor, though not too intrusive, is still there. and it shouldn’t be. Service was OK, although a bit lackadaisical. I had the cheese and salami toastie, she had the chorizo and warm chicken salad sans avocado. My toastie was billed as not for the faint hearted, and I confess the cheese was very strong(and excellent) but I really wasn’t expecting lettuce in a toastie, and the bread was only just toasted. And the salami was a bit of a token presence. So it didn’t rate for me. Added to this the Pablo and Rusty’s coffee which was far too bitter for me to drink, I was not a real happy camper. Her salad was a big affair, and enjoyable, and the skim flat white met her approval, so I guess they get a 50% rating from us. Nevertheless, will give it another crack…

Super cute. This little food providore/café on Neutral Bay’s increasingly popular Grosvenor Street is a great option if you’re looking for a low-key coffee or bite to eat. The store itself is a showcase of the best of what regional Australia has to offer — coffee, cheese, wine, bread, eggs, pastas and much more. The owners believe that Australian produce is world class and I tend to agree. I love the idea of buying locally sourced produce so I almost always walk out of here with something for my pantry. The café serves a light menu and I mean really light. This isn’t a bacon and eggs type place, it’s more a modest serve of muesli and yoghurt, but of course very nice!

This little café /shop is a cute find. They are filled to the brim with gourmet food stuff much of which is sourced locally, if not within Australia. They get their locally baked pastries from L’Ami de Pain, bread from Sonoma, organic eggs from Near River, cheese from Bungalow Cheese Co and Small Cow Farm amongst others, jams from the Yarra Valley. They also stock things like macadamia oil, pasta sauces from Eat Me I’m Wild, Frou Frou Cordials and Quilty Wines. They obviously have a knack for finding fine foods and tipples with fascinating names. The smörgåsbord of premium, artisan products on offer is reason enough to visit but stay for a coffee as it’s very yummy. They use a small time coffee roaster from Orange called Bills Beans and I’ve got to say it’s pretty fine indeed. I highly recommend this place but if you do want to go to sit down know that there are only a couple of tables outside and a couple inside so on busy days you might be waiting a while to sit.(Good excuse to sift through one of the cook books on display for inspiration!)
