Essence Coffee

This is a great little hole in the wall with a great atmosphere.
I have only grabbed a coffee here a few times, but it is exceptional. The coffee is smooth and delicious, which when I order decaf is surprising!
The service is wonderful, so friendly and welcoming. Even when you are pushing a pram into a tiny little coffee shop to get bub out of the sun. As others have said, great spot for a solo coffee!
There is limited seating, but great for take away!

This place has a quiet and cool vibe that I like. Some places do, many don’t. I suspect it’s because of the narrow layout. Forces people’s to interact and speak. Clever. Coffee is good. Muffins are bulging with berries and the sarnies look delicious. After 3 Addictions closed for morning coffee, Essence gets my vote for Cremorne/​Neutral Bay. Okky runs things. Nice guy. Works hard.

Totally agree with those that have reviewed previously … Great coffee, and a place you can sit alone but still feel connected. Prompt service from the barista and a relaxed vibe and the coffee does not burn your mouth with the first sip.

Reminds me a little of Espresso Workshop on George Street… and that’s not a bad thing… cash only

This coffee is gooooooood. Does the best it can with such a small space and now that it’s open on Sundays, five stars.

a couple of friends and myself went out to Neutral Bay for the day. found Essence Coffee right off Military Road and what a little hidden gem. the shop itself is quite small, but has a cozy feel to it.
more importantly the coffee is legit. i had a flat white and it was pretty excellent. they did have food and other beverages available. their bacon egg roll looked quite tasty so i’ll definitely have to check this place out again soon.
service was great and the staff were really nice. worth a trip if you’re in the area.

This great little gem of a morning coffee café in Neutral Bay! I was sceptical at first that this shoe box café could really match some of my other favourite café’s in Neutral Bay– but what they lack in size– they make up for with vibe and great coffee!
This place is buzzing each morning– and from the looks of it anyone who enjoys a good coffee are sitting down quietly sipping away. The earthy, homely feel of the café really works despite its size– it makes you want to stop and take in the warm rays that flow in the door and enjoy the start to the day!
These guys have won lots of barista awards and they know their stuff! The only downside to this fantastic place is their food menu! The items they did have on display did look nice– but it would be great to see some more ‘enticing’ items for brekky and lunch! This also might help with the lunchtime crowd– as they seem to always be empty at this time of day (don’t let this put you off!)
A new edition is the Cold Drip Coffee– definitely will have to try next time I’m in– looks interesting and perfect for Summer!
All in all– well worth checking out if you haven’t been in yet! Keen to hear what others think?
