Eeek! I hate reviewing playgrounds that are like this. Two stars just isn’t enough and three stars is too much for the actual play equipment that’s available. Lucky for this playground, it also has batting nets and a basketball hoop. The playground is definitely one for the younger children. The metal frame flying fox would probably be the only equipment older children would get excited about using. It’s funny how each City Council are has their ‘thing’; some detail that is different from the neighbouring council areas. For the City of West Torrens it would most definitely be the rubber patches under the swings. Rather than having the entire ground under the swings in either bark chip or rubber, they have raised squares of rubber in a sea of bark chips. I literally stopped in my tracks when I first saw this and all I kept think was that this isn’t a smart move when it comes to Occupation Health and Safety. That being said, the City of West Torrens do this at a LOT of their playgrounds. There is a little bit of shade worked into the playground equipment itself but there isn’t a lot over the entire playground. There is one bench seat that could possibly be in shade for most of the day as it’s tucked under some trees. The drinking fountain is in good working order and the basketball hoop and the batting nets also look like they would do the trick(not that I know much about either of those). *Dogs allowed* *Drinking fountain*
