History
Established in 1980.
Originally the house was built by a river boat ferry captain so he could look down on his ferries in the river below. He sold the property in 1935 after roads were built replacing the river transport. The home was owned by several families until I obtained it in 1980 and converted it into a YHA providing accommodation for backpackers and other travellers. I have lived here since then and have thoroughly enjoyed every day. Meeting and providing for travellers needs is a pleasurable career.
