Robina Ironing Service

Darren Ormes from Sharper Image Dry Cleaning ruined my wedding dress and abused me when I asked for it to be repaired. He told me that if I didn’t pay for the cleaning, he was going to give it to an op shop.
When I discovered my dress was severely damaged — 20 MELTED beads, appliqué edging completely melted off, 10 missing beads and 2 missing clasps. I was polite in dealing with his staff — I am sure most brides would have gone crazy but I explained that I understand these things happen and just wanted to know if they could repair it. The staff member Ada was sympathetic and said the warehouse who cleaned the dress were happy to fix it for free.
I thought the matter was settled until I received an abusive phone call from the manager Darren Ormes. He told me that it was the risk I took when using their service to clean my dress. I explained that I had just been into the store and Ada had sorted it out with the repair, he said that I had two options:
1. Come in and pay for the dress and take it home.
2. Don’t pay and he will give it away to an op shop.
I went straight back into the store, paid the full fee and took my dress. It wasn’t nice being threatened by the management and having my dress held hostage.
I was in tears in the store, the staff member Ada was once again very kind and said she couldn’t understand why the management would treat me that way. It makes no sense, the warehouse was going to fix it for free and it would have all been solved.
Darren called her while I was standing at the counter, Ada looked upset so I think he must have been abusing her also. He said if I wanted the dress fixed they were going to charge me for it. He was going to have it fixed by the warehouse for free but he was going to charge me to repair the damages on my dress that his business caused — such a joke!
I do not recommend Sharper Image Dry Cleaning in Robina. This is the worst customer service I have ever received!
