This bookshop is still going strong, despite the chains all crumbling around it. Much bigger on the inside, ensuring a long walk from front to back, It’s good for a potter around, for a recommendation, and definitely good for gift buying. They’ve always got something nifty in with regards to reading books, too, for the person who already has everything they’re ever going to want to read.
Mount Waverley is full of retired types, I think, and there is a slight feel that this bookshop caters to the tastes of grannies. In Matilda’s there are lots of floral gifts and knick-​knacks, found alongside a great range of kids products and books. Someone has their business hat one when setting this shop up, and that same person has put an emphasis on keeping the place clean, tidy and inviting.
