Canning Bridge Superwash

After paying $ 16 a second time for the automated car wash here, I have been ripped off. The first time I used the auto wash it only sprayed one side of my car with the soap and wax. The other side just received a water spray wash. Putting this down to a ‘one off’ I came back recently. Once I got into the car wash, the water spray commenced, the soap sprayed on, and then the auto wash asked me to leave as the wash was finished. I had to then pay to manually clean the soap off of the car. This happened to three other customers at the same time as me. As there were no staff working (at 3:30pm on a weekday) I contacted the mobile number on the machine which said to call the number anytime for any issues. The number rang out and there was only an option to leave a 10 second voice mail that would be converted to text. I then texted the number and received a response several hours later than I would be able to go back the next day and speak to a staff member who would be there between 10am and 2pm. At 12:30pm the next day I returned, hunted for a staff member, couldn’t find one, and even found the staff area door double pad locked. Didn’t seem to be anyone working at that time. I called the mobile number again, which was not answered. I sent another text to the mobile number provided stating the issues and requesting a refund. It has been 6 days and I have still received no response.
I am sure they are making money as they are certainly saving on products and staffing while their automated machine continues to eat money.

I love self-​serve car washes. The high pressure hoses and all those fun buttons and dials: it’s my kind of Disneyland. And while this car wash on Canning Bridge certainly had all the frills, it was pretty darn expensive. 15 bucks all up, which is not a whole lot less than an automatic car wash and I didn’t even get the full service. While I enjoyed the experience, I would have left much happier if I had have paid 7 or 8 bucks for the time I got with the hoses and the detergents.
