Tash and the team at Bride by Design are fantastic. I recommend them to anyone looking for their dream dress. They are all so enthusiastic, helpful, creative and most of all caring when helping you choose the perfect dress for you. I had an idea of what I wanted but hadn’t found anything I had yet to love but as soon as I walk into Brides by design they LISTENED to me and help create my perfect dress! Can’t thank you girls enough

I cannot recommend Brides by Design highly enough. We have been looked after by the delightful Tash. Who has been endlessly patient and is so very talented. She is able to translate the vaguest descriptions of wants and desires into reality. Lovely, friendly personal service.

I was told as soon as I arrived in store that if I was spending less than $ 5k I shouldn’t look at half the store as they were all couture, and they cost a lot more. It was a little bit rude, and also a bit of a bad move on their part, as I am sure lots of girls think they’ll spend much less than they end up spending on their wedding dress, so not letting people look at half the range means they’re probably doing themselves out of a lot of sales. For the price of the gowns(some $ 8k+) I’d expect the presentation of the shop to be a bit better, the carpet was pretty dirty and the place really needs a face-lift. I tried on a few dresses. One was quite nice, but I didn’t feel like the quality was there for the price tag.

I had an awful experience here last Saturday. After calling and speaking to a lovely lady, Tash, on the phone I made an appointment to visit and speak with someone about the process of having a dress designed or altered. Excited, I arrived Saturday and began to browse with my friend when I saw that the ladies were busy. Halfway through browsing we were snapped at by a woman(not Tash or Lana), telling us to not touch the dresses and to use the coat hangers. An indiscretion on our behalf and we apologised. I then informed her that I had an appointment to meet with someone. She promptly asked me «Off the rack? Or couture?». I said it was my first appointment and I wasn’t sure at the moment. She then asked me my budget and style I was after. When I told her she said I wouldn’t be able to look at couture and showed me to some dresses pulling out one she thought was my style. I said I had spied one which I would like to try and I ventured over to pull it out. She said that it was out of my budget and that I shouldn’t try it on. My friend insisted I do try it on to see if I liked that style. So this lady relented and let me try it on, while saying that she was«breaking the rules» by letting me do so. As I tried it on she said to her colleague again that she was breaking the rules and that I «needed educating». How rude! I tried on the second dress which she had pulled for me and I said that it wasn’t really me and that I liked that other style more. To which she said I was fussy. Of course I will be fussy with my hunt for a wedding dress?!! When I was about to take the dress off, she said that I could get something like this from Hob Nob. Thank you very much for that. I will indeed take my business elsewhere after this horrible experience. Wedding dress shopping at my first stop should have been an exciting time. I should not have been made to feel like less due to my not unreasonable budget of under $ 5k.

This place was AMAZING. Cute little local business style shop the lady lana in there was an absolute delight! I am a bigger girl and I wanted to find something with a little design and a little flare and I waked into this shop and they made me feel beautiful the second I walked in! I found a lot of shops very snobby and not really wanting to help me, showing me to the three dresses they had in a size 14. But not here! She told me to pick whatever took my fancy and we would try them all! She spent a lot of time getting me into the beautiful gown that i ended up picking and buying on the spot! Loved the experience would recommend it to anyone!

$ — $$$ Rack sale to right with 40−60% mark-downs. I have come here twice. If I hadn’t come back, I would have given this store a 3-Star rating. One of the ladies there and I did not jive well. Well, let me rephrase. I asked to see a gown and she asked what my budget was. Fair enough, question. But, let’s be honest… a bride’s budget is a moveable force with the right gown. So, then she proceeded to say something to likes of me not being able to pull it off and touched the ol’ pouch. I know I must of gasped or made a God-awful face. She then exclaimed, «I’m not being rude. Just honest.» I realize I’m having a double-standard here, since Kevin(Galleria Couture) pretty much did the same thing. But, I guess the word tact comes to mind. There were a few gowns I did want to try on, so I got the fortunate luck to change in front of this lady. She apologized(no takesy-backsy involving a ladies bits) several times(to me and to the store) which made it even more awkward. I did really like one of the dresses so I came back a second time. The girl that worked with me(Lana) was amazing. Super-friendly and listened to my suggestions. She was very informative about what can/cannot be done. I was unaware that Brides by Design did custom work to off-the-rack gowns saving lots of money. They were running a special on dresses for February and it was one of the cheapest gowns I’ve tried on with lots of alterations(length, fit, neckline, sleeves, etc.). I definitely recommend this place, but suggest working with Lana. There are gowns that are marked-down to the point of being called cheap, even here in Perth.
