Very rude, arrogant and unwilling to assist customers!
They have a product which has a $ 50 cash price, I didn’t have cash on me (as this is 2015) so I was told to walk up to the corner to use an ATM. I was slightly confused as the person before me paid via EFTPOS so that was available and functioning fine, so I offered to pay the transaction fee which is the only difference between cash and EFTPOS for an above board business. That was not enough so I offered to pay the GST as well, I was then continually instructed by the rude lady that «this is what I have been told» and «there is an ATM on the corner».
I ended up giving in and going to the ATM then when I went back to collect, I said «this is a joke, a client should be able to pay the additional transaction cost of a cash price product» and that «If they are unable to it I am sure the tax dept would like to know about it». The rude lady then said, «look that is what it is, if you don’t like it there is the door». I paid for the product and left, stating that this is the last time I will shop there.
For a shop which has been in business for such a long time, they should know that repeat business is what it is all about. If their business or product supply model does not suit their customers it needs to be reviewed. If a customer is happy to pay the transaction cost, let them pay it and everyone is happy!
I had been going there for just over two years now, but not anymore. I will not be recommending them to any family or friends from now on.
