Great produce one of the best in Brisbane. The owner is really nice and passionate about their food. You can get some rarities and a heap of good stuff here worth the trip. Yumm!

Short of Eye of Newt Crisp on Creek have the widest selection of fresh fruits, veg and other bits and pieces in the Mount Gravatt East area. It has all the benefits of a farmers market in such a small space staff are always polite. You will pay a little bit extra compared to your Woolies and Coles but you can be pretty confident that when you are flicking through the latest Jamie Oliver cook book they will have everything on that list of weird and wonderful cooking ingredients. Parking can sometimes be difficult but only because it is so popular and as a result you can line up a bit. But it is no worse than going to a parking lot the size of Movie World just to get into Woolies at your local shopping centre. They also have a deli so you can get a range of meats.

Crisp on Creek is not your ordinary greengrocer. There’s a deli, bakery and ice-creamery hidden within its premise. Okay, I may be exaggerating but I don’t know any other greengrocer who stocks so many gourmet ice cream brands including Ben and Jerrys, Movenpick, Delizia and Ingabel Sorbet. There’s also an interesting selection of freshly baked breads from ciabatta to sour dough and croissants. Their cheese section is small but respectable. Goat cheese lovers should try the ‘La petite princess’ — a goaty camembert. If you’re feeling peckish, try a bucket of the D’lish coffee popcorn. I guarantee it will be consumed in one sitting. Finally if any fellow Unilocalers end up at Crisp on Creek and feel adventurous, can you please try a bottle of the ‘Bum Hummers fart starter chilli sauce’? The name alone should sell this product. I’ve included a reference photo of this intriguing sauce in my review. I would have tried it myself but somewhere between buying cheeses, coffee popcorn and ice-cream, I ran out of money.
