The food was terrible! I had the vegetarian breakfast, the mushrooms were so old they had shrivelled up and felt like rubber, the type you find in the back of your fridge and think«dang! how long have you lot been here» not something you would cook and serve to someone. Everything on the plate was below average.

Never been so insulted. Charged me 50c extra to toast ham and cheese Turkish bread, which was then burnt and gave me attitude when i went back to ask them to redo it. Rude staff too.

Awesome food, lovely helpful staff. I’d recommend lunch here any day! Vegetarian options are fantastic. Can’t wait to come here again.

This is a surprisingly good café located in Mt Gravatt Plaza. I say surprising because as a resident of Mt Gravatt for twenty years, let me tell you there aren’t very many good cafes here. I’m not saying that Bean Out is a café to rival those of West End or New Farm. Far from it. But I do occasionally come out here for breakfast or lunch with my family and have always been happy with their service and value for money. Their breakfast menu isn’t amazing –their Eggs Benedict with hollandaise sauce and grilled Turkish bread stand out but for health nuts, there aren’t any Bircher muesli or fruit options. When I worked in Mt Gravatt Plaza, Bean Out catered for our functions and meetings. We were always happy with their selection of gourmet rolls, chips and salads. They were efficient and reasonably priced. For a weekday lunch or breakfast, Bean Out is an easy, affordable option but for the weekend, I remain a West End café girl at heart.
