This is a great beach for the Naturist, and legal too. On a nice day get there before 12 or the tiny car park will be full. The north end appear to be where single men meet & the middle is usually more couples oriented & entire families are often at the middle & south end of the beach. This is our favourite Melbourne beach & my wife & I love it there.

You are allowed legally to be naked on this beach anytime of the year, but if you know Melbourne thats impossible! This beach being the closet of the legal nudist beaches to Melbourne, it gets really busy with the carpark filling up very early on a hot day. To be honest this is when this beach is at its best. Lots of people make for a great atmosphere. The closest bus stop is on Nepean Highway. From the carpark you need to walk around the headland you see from the beach. The nudist beach is between this headland and the one further north. At high tide you will get wet feet unless you want to mountain goat it over the top. You also could walk in from the north via Moondah beach if your keen. This area of the bay is rocky, so when the weather has been a little wild the sand will be moved and expose the rocks. The south end of the beach suffers from this over winter. Make sure you bring plenty of water and food as there is no shops at all in the area. Of course remember that sunscreen, you don’t want to find out how sunburn feels in some areas.
