A small lovely little pet supplies shop, which has come in handy more than once for me. Like the time my husband forgot to pack the dog food for our weekend away.

Or the time my pup had a bit of an ear infection, and I needed some ear clean solution.
The staff are great, they seem to know their stuff, and they seem to genuinely care about animals.

Situated in a small town like Mt Barker, this is probably the only option for a pet store. I haven’t seen any others during any of my visits here before anyway…
The first thing I notice is that the store doesn’t actually sell any pets. I didn’t see any while I was in there anyway, and it’s not that big that you’d miss anything that was there. I guess this really means it is a pet care centre rather than a pet store. It’s something to ponder anyway.
The prices of items were a little bit above what I’d expect if I was to go somewhere closer to the city. With that being said it’s nowhere near as expensive as some of the pricier places that are «local» to me. The floor is carpeted unlike the bigger pet stores, so I assume your 4 legged friend is staying outside if you visit.
The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and they stock a good range of items. There are plenty of worse pet stores out there, and if you live nearby this is a good option.
