Best hot chocolate in Sydney. And the food is great also. Hot chocolate is from a private blend of cocoa, not syrup, no added herbs or flavours. The staff are friendly and efficient. The shop is intimate with fine weather dining outside. I

This is an amazing place! If you are looking for fantastic coffee, fresh and scrumptious food and attentive service, please go here. Came here for lunch today with a friend, my mum and daughter and could not fault our whole experience. Lunch was so yummy, a mix of salads and Greek inspired eats — all made fresh on the premises. All adults had two coffees each and a delicious dessert, so reasonably priced. There is a parking station close by and is easily accessible. Will DEF be back.

A small cute place in the alley next to Mosman Council. We had lunch so a couple of salads. Nothing terribly original but tasty and well presented. Lamb meatballs were very good. So was the tea. Service was friendly and relatively attentive.

Nice, but nothing special. In fact, the food was disappointing. It’s a Greek restaurant. Even if only a café, if it’s Greek they should have good moussaka, right? I haven’t had moussaka in ages, so I went for it. Simply put, if McDonald’s served moussaka, this is exactly how tasteless I would expect it to be. Friendly service, good people watching, excellent coffee, but no reason to go back.

I had the Eos. Best f$&king breakfast I have ever had. The coffee was great, the ambience appropriately hipster-ish(i.e. enough to make feel like you are eating someplace cool, but not so much that the place starts being invaded by hippie drum circles dressed in hessian).

Formerly La Cucina/Lunchbox this gorgeous café in Myahgah Mews is making its presence felt due to a beautiful new fitout. They’ve opened the place right up with lots of mirrors, plants and beautiful lighting. They also seem to have agreed more outdoor tables, as they’re occupying a significant swathe of the Mews now. The competition must be feeling the pinch. This was my first visit since the revamp and it’s great to see the same team behind the venture. Their incredibly friendly and I was greeted with a cheery hello with a hint of ‘what took ya so long!’. They’ve pared back the clutter of their offering instore and it was much easier to appreciate the delicious fresh salads and wrap. I struggled between an inviting brown rice and beetroot salad and instead opted for a Veggie Pattie sandwich, as I was out-and-about. I thought I’d misheard her when she said it was only $ 5. Surely not! In Mosman! The bread was grainy and soft, the sandwich oozed with hummus, salad and Pattie. Delish. I’ll certainly be joining the smooth legged cyclists who favour this place for a proper sit down meal at some stage. Well done on a great revamp.

The Mews is one of those sweet cafes that have an other worldly atmosphere about it — old school jazz or French tunes, every table full(even on a wet Wednesday) and a friendly chatty Batista. It just feels friendly. I also love that it’s off the busy streets of Mosman — Military Road is only a stones throw away but you can’t hear it. Sandwiches to order, fresh appetizing salads(no old lettuce leaves or half filled bowls), fresh takeaway meals(like moussaka) ready to go and a variety of dishes that mean you could go there everyday for a month an have something different. I had the Thai Chicken ball for $ 6 — delicious and just enough for lunch. The mint leaves on top were a nice touch to the flavor and appearance. This and other gluten free options are market with a red sticker in the cabinet but there is no gluten free bread for sandwiches. Kid friendly. No wifi. Toilet are worth a mention. They aren’t in the café but around the corner and are shared with other businesses in the vicinity. They are pretty dirty and the waitress gives you a brown paper bag filled with toilet roll and napkins. A bit awkward but worth this minor glitch as the café is very cute indeed. Quaint silver shell shaped tea spoon with my mocha and a glass encased white orchard beside my computer on the window bench I type from — ahhh the little things!
