Mosman Park Train Station

Great train station. Full of entertainment.
After a few beers one night my girlfriend and I ambled our way to the station. Smack bang in the middle of the pathway at the station was a teenage girl crying. It was a bit sad but also hilarious. She had a portable iPod dock set up playing «What About Me» and sobbing. A way off in the distance you could see her boyfriend snuggling with a new girl on one of the hard metal station seats. Poor lass.
The train was also on time. I don’t know whether that the station itself can be commended for this feat– but it’s all part of the same package I guess.
Hit this station up at night on the weekends for some entertaining stories. Probably best to keep to yourself though– it’s a jungle out there.

Mosman Park Train Station is everything a train station should be — it’s clean and well-​maintained, the trains run on time, and — well, that’s pretty much all you want from a train station, isn’t it? It never seems to get too busy, so there are usually seats available to sit in while you wait. One slightly annoying thing is that there is no bridge between the platforms — there’s only one way over, and that’s straight across the tracks. Which is fine most of the time, except for when you reach the station with moments to spare before the train arrives, and then the gate closes just before you get to it and you miss your train. So frustrating! If there was a bridge you would have made it! But it’s not that bad, because there’ll be another one in fifteen minutes, and serves you right for not getting there early enough. Surprisingly, it’s also a good place to see the sun set. Not that I go there specially — but many’s the time when I’ve been crossing the station in the evening and just had to stop to take a picture of the stunning sunset scene.
