We’ve had takeaway from here a couple times and really enjoyed it. Good curries, good sides and great value.

The food here is fantastic(Butter chicken being my favourite). The staff are friendly and the prices are reasonable.

I ordered food from Menu Log tonight as I was lazy and tired and they delivered. It was awesome, I am so impressed. I can’t comment on the ambiance or décor of this place, but now I’ve tasted the food I don’t care what the place looks like. The food is really, really good. Ordered the Butter Chicken and Palak Paneer. Yum-ee!

This place is well worth the trip to the south side if you are an Indian fan. Prices are reasonable and the ambiance created by their bold colour scheme makes up for the slightly banal main-road location. Scherhazade has a few varieties you don’t see everywhere, like the ‘Goan Fish Curry’, ‘Mysore Chilli Chicken’ and their ‘Goat Curry’. I’ had the Goan Fish Curry on my last visit and was really happy with it. You get to choose your desired spice level(Mild/Medium/Hot), an option not available on all their curries. This Goan dish features firm white flesh fish fillets(I didn’t catch what sort they were) in a fragrant mustard seed and coconut milk sauce. It has a distinct South-East Asian feel due to the coconut milk, while the mustard seeds combine well with the seafood. I chose Hot and found it on the higher end of the spice spectrum you find in Brisbane’s Indian restaurants. Service is very polite and attentive, and you get the warm fuzzy feeling that they truly appreciate your business. Scherhazade comes with my high recommendation.

Scherhazade’s is a suburban gem. When my partner and I were staying in Cannon Hill, we frequented here quite a bit. The indian is as good as you’ll find it anywhere. The service is friendly and the wait staff are excellent with small details like keeping your water and wine glasses filled up. The restaurant is comfortable and is elegantly decked out in red and yellow. It makes for a lively eating environment. They’ve got most of your classic Indian dishes here. The great part is that if you want something that’s not on the menu, if they’ve got the right ingredients, they’re happy to make it for you(at least this has been my experience). The Bhoona Beef($ 15.90) and the Chicken Jalfrezi($ 16.50) are highly recommended. Just to let you know, there is also Goat Curry($ 18.50) which is divine, if you like caprine flesh. Wynnum Road has a few places that make for good eating, but in my humble estimation Scherhazade’s guarantees you the best bang for your buck.
