Cork Interiors

The realities of renovating your home are not at all glamorous. Furniture everywhere, dust flying around, fitting all of your belongings into small spaces… not that much fun. The floors of my apartment have just been ripped up and relaid as the old floor suffered pretty badly during the floods last year. Cork Interiors came to the rescue and have put our new floors in… after a bit of turmoil.
I was very careful to put all of our breakable items away prior to the tradesmen coming to rip up the old floor, but they have still managed to break a few things such as putting a crack in the breakfast bar and breaking the seal on the stovetop plate. Look, not the worst things in the world but annoying nonetheless. There were a few occasions where I came home unannounced to find them just casually hanging out on the balcony having a few ciggies, and if it were at lunch time it would have been forgivable, but at 10am? Really guys? These things aside the finished product is great and looks as good as new. Aside from the breakfast bar which still has a sad looking crack at the front.
The tradies aside, the head office was really easy to deal with, and I’m glad a family run business was utilised rather than one of the chain companies. I just wish there had been less bull-​in-​china-​shop moments.
