Ok the food was alright… the kid brought the wrong pizza out. so got to sample some of their ham n mushroom… it was ok not the best pizza. Same with the fettuccine carbonara. Bit dry and not enough cream. Portion of pasta was gd for $ 16. But the small pizza for $ 12? it’s questionable. Nothing fantastic quite staple. Mentone pizza still is best in the area. WIR? Nope. Better options elsewhere to spend my hard earned…

I created this account for the express purpose of writing this review. There is nothing like a Valentines day tale involving the abuse of customers, abuse of staff and poor product. My fiancé and I opted to spend our first Valentines as an engaged couple enjoying pizza and a movie. We waited a whopping 1 hour and 20 mins for our pizza only to find it scrambled beyond recognition in a box. The delivery man who appeared scared requested we call to make the complaint rather than taking the pizza back because he was intimidated by the store manager. My fiancé rang the shop and was spoken to rudely and was told the pizza being scrambled was our fault due to the topping chosen(standard items on their menu). The manager argued with us and told us we were being unreasonable. After a lengthy chat he agreed to send a new pizza. The pizza arrived 45 mins later and was delivered by a pizza maker Sue. Sue was lovely and saved our Valentines day. I give you one star because Unilocal doesn’t allow me to give you zero.

The initial issue was the quality, the primary issue became the utterly psychotic owner. We ordered the same two pizzas that we’ve been ordering for 8 years now and when one of them turned up squashed into the corner of the box(meaning ¾ of the box was empty) we ran after the driver to let him know. We were asked to call the store due to the driver being terrified of the owner. After being on hold for ten minutes and repeating our address several times(I speak quite clearly by the way) I was greeted with«yes?»… Really? I explained the situation at which he launched into an irrational tirade for quite some time culminating in «I’ve only got your word about what it looks like so why should I make another one?». I explained that the driver is still here and I’m more than happy to send the offending pizza back… Long pause followed by another tirade. After the pizza was returned to the shop he called us. Firstly it was apparently our fault for ordering what we ordered(a standard pizza that they’ve gotten right every other time) and that we were just determined to be unhappy and that it was fine. After I told him that was an unacceptable response, he called me an asshole and told me that if I really insisted that he’d make a new one and bring it himself with the original pizza. 45 minutes later the replacement arrived delivered by… Not him. The gutless worm of a man had sent Sue instead(she’s a lovely lady and she works her butt off making people’s pizzas. Say«hello» if you see her on the line) who apologised profusely and produced a perfect pizza as a replacement and then the original order too… It looked nothing like the awful mess that first arrived. It had been redone. He called one last time to say that he was right the entire time. Unbelievable. This man is due for retirement. We will never be back and nor will anyone we know. Good luck you textbook bully. It’s been a real treat.
