Came here with my cousins on a Sunday afternoon. We went upstairs because we just wanted to order food and didn’t want the hustle and bussle of yum cha. It wasn’t very crowded and we got seated right away. You have to order your food on a sheet of paper and give it to the waiter.
My cousin had to get to work, but we insisted he stay and eat a bit, as Chinese food usually is quick.
We waited quite some time for our food, which was surprisingly considering the restaurant was half empty.
After about 20 minutes, two dishes came out. The others came out maybe 10 – 15 minutes later. The veggie dumplings were good, but the haw gao was very doughy. The noodles and some of the other dishes were very oily/​greasy.
Don’t think I would come back — slow service and average food. Felt a bit gross after eating here.

Thank God there is a Golden Century in Moore Park at The Entertainment Quarter complex (the old Fox Studios) as now I can have an absolute feast and stumble back home as I try digest the abundance of food that I always eat at this place. It’s just too good!
It’s a sister restaurant to the famous Golden Century down in Chinatown and has all the old favourites which are too many to mention. The san choy bow, the dumplings, the salt and pepper prawns, the wasabi beef, the hot pots. I’m drooling as I think about it and all with the fun and unpredictability of the lazy Susan which always seems to end up as the central tool in some drinking game at the end of the meal.
There’s less hustle and bustle of Chinatown and certainly worth a visit to enjoy a great meal.
