History

Established in 2005.

Monique Milenkovic founded The Cupcake Queens In June of 2005, after searching for a cupcake tower for her Wedding in Melbourne. She could not find anything that looked beautiful and tasted fabulous. Not a single cupcake could be found, so, Monique decided to start baking her own…

After the creation of the website we started to receive many enquiries that ranged from weddings, milestone birthdays, religious occasions right through to the classic morning tea.

During this time Monique also started to sell at farmers markets. This was invaluable in getting face-​to-​face feedback from customers, whilst promoting our product and brand at the same time.

With the advent of the online store, The Cupcake Queens quickly transformed from a make to order special occasion bakery to a commercial enterprise catering to the broader consumer demand.
