Water? Check! Canteen to buy snacks? Check! Hmmm… what else do you want from a pool? Located very conveniently between Mount Alexander Rd and Pascoe Vale Rd the pool is easily accessible by car or PT. It gets quite busy on hot days and evenings however it is always pretty clean, aside from the odd leaf that falls off the beautiful big shady trees. There is plenty of grass area and you can take your pick between shade and full sun. A recent addition this summer includes some lounge chairs, however you’ll need to get in quick to grab one of those. There are three pools in total — one with a slide for under 10’s, a slightly larger and deeper one for older kids, and an Olympic size for laps and deeper water.

Loved going to this place in the summer! a great public facility for all to enjoy and great amenity for the local community. I have spent many enjoyable weekends there and recommend to all.

Queens Park Swimming Pool, run by Belgravia Leisure is open all summer and is a lovely pool next door to the botanical gardens of Moonee Ponds known as Queens Park. The pool is an outdoor phenomenom comprising of 3 pools: One little kids toddler pool with a big green frog waterslide in it(kids slide down out of the frogs mouth), and is about waist height deep for a toddler. The second pool is approx a metre deep and never seems to have many people in it — so you often get it all to yourself however you should be happy to share it with the coots or moorhens(waterbirds) from the lake in the park next door. Thirdly there is the big pool which is 3 metres deep at the deep end and is good for swimming laps. The pool has lovely surroundings and you can see right into the park as you swim. Its only $ 5 to get in or $ 3.30 concession, so its a nice price too and is open from 6am(9am weekends) til 7pm all summer long! Enjoy!!!
