Speaking of strange, I jog past this cemetery often as part of weekly exercise rituals and I am rather absorbed by the captivating beauty of this particular graveyard. I usually find myself reading the names as I run past just because they are from an era so long ago.

Many of the pioneering families that helped establish South Australia and the city of Mitcham are buried here, and the Mitcham Council is active in working along with a Local History Officer if you are interested in finding out where your ancestors were once buried.
For more direct information, this large premises of the dead is located on Old Belair Road and is home to both the Mitcham General and Mitcham Anglican Cemeteries.
