As previously mentioned, this place has been through a refurbish and is now quite schmick. It’s large though fairly well set out with plenty of resting spots and a variety and shops similar(let’s be honest, they’re identical all the time) to bondi junction. Probably the only truly interesting thing about it is they’ve opened up part of the car park on the roof(and partially downstairs) to 6 – 7 chain restaurants which is quite a good idea. The only downside is that each restaurants music tends to interferes with each other. Bavarian beir, grill’d and a few noodle and south american restaurants round out offerings.

Ok seriously, this is like the biggest shopping mall i’ve entered since landing in Sydney. I literally got lost. There are heaps of food stalls/eating areas and i even left with some salmon fillets and prawns. Hundreds of clothing shops and there are also a number of beauty stops in case you want a mani/pedi, wax, botox etc. Be sure to check out, Myer, Zara, TopShop, Country Road, target, david jones. Bring the kiddies because there are play areas in a lot of the zones. And remember to rest, because you will get lost.

Want a shopping Mecca where you easily get lost shopping till your hearts content? Westfields Miranda or as the locals still call it ‘Miranda fair’, has just had a massive make over and extension and it looks awesome. The new sections which boasts a lot of food and a few boutique shops looks awesome and inviting. This place is so big I got lost and went around in circles about 4 times but each time I discovered another awesome shop. It has your general shops you would find like target, myer, david jones, big w, toys r us, just to name a few. If your in the area I would definitely check it out if I were you :)

It’s a bit of a concrete jungle at the moment as they demolish the old office towers and remodel the site. Promises to be a much better experience once it’s completed late this year — 100 new specialty stores, a new-look Myer and refurbished Big W, plus a new full-line Woolworths supermarket and relocated, 10-screen multiplex Event Cinema. Will be so good to have a decent Woolies — long overdue. Just a shame they didn’t save the iconic Miranda Fair star which could be seen from kms away.

My favorite Westfield in the Shire. First of all free all day parking — don’t have to worry about it. Its big so you can find all the shops you are looking for. Doesn’t have those massive crowds like in the city so shopping is more relaxing. And if you are not on the shopping mood any more Lind café is just right there waiting for you.
