Tucked away on the Milton Road side of Park Road… next to pizza and another Thai Restaurant, you can miss it when you pass, the signs are the biggest or brightest either. Two things, it is very interesting how this place has combined sushi with the likeness of Thai food, and the sushi train is awfully short. The prices are very reasonable for what you get but there isn’t much variety. Made fresh daily, they also have a menu you can order off for sushi which isn’t there. My fears for this place though, isn’t that they don’t have nice sushi, is the fact that when you sit at the sushi bar, you can see how the ladies are preparing the food. The hot food comes out in a plastic tub, which they then plate. The dishes come out around the corner to be served personally. The hot food, like the dumplings or calamari or spring rolls are very obviously reheated from frozen, evidence of this was the gentleman sitting next to me grabbed the spring rolls, and when he bit into it, the middle was still frozen. The ladies don’t speak very good english and the service is sub par. You do get free green tea though which is a bonus. For Park Road, I expect better. For sushi I expect better and for Thai food, I definetely expect better. Not a great experience overall, but not a massively bad one either, except for the frozen spring roll guy.
