Always enjoy dining here after a day out with the boys at Luna park. Staff are extremely friendly and the view is one of the best! Food is great, and cost is very reasonable for the quality and of course he location. What more can you ask for.

I have been in Sydney for a couple of weeks for work and ran past this place several times. Looking for a close to my hotel, nice view, decent meal… I decided to give it a try. The food is very good. The barramundi was cooked to perfection. I am only give this place 2 stars because the food was very good, the view is outstanding, and the live music was wonderful. The service is another story. My waiter seemed very inexperienced and could care less if I had water, wine, food or anything in between. He seemed more interested in setting tables for the next day than helping me. I had to request everything — he didn’t know to ask. When I asked if I could have a dish intended for 2, split in half, he said no then«I’ll check with my manager». She didn’t even turn around or come to the table– just shook her head no and went on her way. I felt as though my waiter was surprised every time I asked for something. As if, I was putting him out for requesting service. This guy needs more training or perhaps find another profession to work in. This place has great potential and will continue to attract tourists. If you want a better experience and service, venture to Blues Point Road or Kirribilli. Don’t waste your time or money here.

Came here with mum and dad for a post Christmas lunch, and was more than pleasantly surprised. The tagine fish was very very good, quite spicy when you added the harissa. The barramundi was also good. The view is stunning, it’s not too crowded and you can hear the people you are dining with. So the recommendation we received of this joint was well placed.

5 stars on the view and atmosphere of this restaurant. However I have had a few issues here. The first time me and my friend came across it it was a week night and we had not made a booking. However a seat was found for us and although it was not next to the window overlooking the harbour, those were booked, it was totally understandable and our spot was still nice. We ordered a paella for two which was large and very nice and high quality. We also ordered cocktails which were very nice and of the average, expensive cocktail price. They were presented nicely and seemed quite strong which I like; money’s worth. We ordered a dessert which was delicious and plated very well. As it’s such an expensive restaurant the desserts seem to be all small but very rich. Upon such a good meal I booked again for a future date. A week prior to the event I rang up to confirm my reservation next to the window. After a long long phone call and an employee raising their voice to the fact that someone had already reserved the table and trying to secure me a different spot, we came to the agreement someone had spelt my name wrong on the reservation sheet. Expecting this to be fixed, I showed up to The Deck early to my booking so I enjoyed a few cocktails at the bar. Me and my friend made our way to dinner only to be told the table was reserved by someone else. The worker did not speak perfect English and had some difficulty pronouncing my name thus thinking the one on the sheet was different. It took a long time to settle the problem, she left for a period of time and came back and eventually I was able to show her that it was my name spelt slightly wrong. We sat down half an hour late to dinner and I was pretty annoyed but I still got my seat so it was okay. We were first waited on by a young woman on what seemed to be her first shift so I didn’t mind that she was a little slow to use her equipment and needed assistance. However the main waiter we had seemed slightly rude and bored. He treated an elder couple next to us very well and spoke to them politely and made general conversation with them. However me and my friend are both only 18 and while we were polite and respectable he treated us in a complete different matter, with a monotone voice and not looking up from recording our stuff. For such a nice place I expected better and equal service. We had to get up and walk to the bar to ask for second servings of wine as no one came to serve us. The food was very nice quality though, we were both satisfied and too full for any dessert. The menu is very minimal and it was going through go changes when we came so only a few selections were available. While on the costly side it’s a nice place to treat yourself.

With sweeping views of Sydney Harbour, including the bridge and opera house, this restaurant and bar is located in one of the best spots in Sydney, if not Australia. The pub grub chicken wings(aka drummettes) are delicious, while the tapas plate is quite generous. The batter on the calamari is too heavy for my liking. Interesting beers are on tap. Shame about the schmiddie sized glasses. They also need to enforce their«no kids» rule.

A favourite place for enjoying a glass of wine and food to share whilst watching the ferries go by on the Harbour. Whilst located just inside the entrance of Lunar Park, it has a strict adults only policy so is a lovely spot to escape the noise and hustle of the Park. We stumbled upon it by accident and now go back on a regular basis. Have yet to eat in the restaurant because the bar has a good selection of snacks to share at reasonably prices. My favourites are the Tapas plate and pulled pork sandwich.

Excellent restaurant, good value and excellent food. I suspect that many people would shy away from the Deck as it is part of Luna Park and would imagine that it would be a tourist trap. Definitely not the case the food is always delicious and the menu varied. I recommend starting with the terrine and then treat yourself to the mushroom risotto! My dining partner had the steak and was in steak paradise. The wine list is wide and varied and the German Riesling was perfection.

Went for Mother’s Day and there were quite a few mix ups at our table of 4. One of our mains had come out as something else but as he didn’t want the rest of us to wait he just ate it … Then the same person didn’t get the right dessert. I felt so bad for them plus we all sat around to wait politely for the correct dessert to be delivered. None of the waitstaff came to actually apologies for the wait(which was all we needed really to feel ok about the situation) until after the new dessert had been delivered some 20 minutes or so later. Our main waiter was great but there were too many people looking after our table which I think led to confusion. Food was good and great views but yeah, a bit disappointed this time around.

A perfect location for a huge party — even if you’re a bunch of adults, head to Luna Park, and continue the excitement over some bubbles at The Deck. The view is amazing, and it’s a great place to mingle with new interesting Luna Park enthusiasts over a cold beer. I was here for Halloween and it was such a awesome place to be, and act like kids again. Dressed up like Mario from Mario Kart was only the icing on the cake for the whole night. The service here is great, and although the prices are a bit hiked for the location, it’s worth it. They have a great restaurant area, but as this restaurant gets very loud you may want to keep the conversation to a minimum, scream or head outside to the actual deck.
