This review is as a consumer rather than purchaser. I’m one of those that attempts(ATTEMPTS, I tell you) to recreate something from the Women’s Weekly Birthday Cakes book each year, however, I have been to so many birthday parties sporting spectacular visions of art and every time I ask, they reply, «Sugar & Spice». I drive past here often and they have a great selection in the window. I’m not certain, but I’ve heard radio announcer and baking extraordinaire, Amanda Blair has a connection to the store. Definitely add it to your shortlist if you’re looking for a truly spectacular and very yummy creation.

Two words: Taste Testing. It’s so good! Really. This is how it works: You walk in, you sit down, you get given a display book of cakes, your browse through said display book, you taste test and then you taste test some more. Mmmm. The service here is quite laid back in a good way. There is no pressure to purchase a cake, which works in their favour anyway. They probably have their hands full with business anyway, which is a good sign. Pretty much all my friends got their gorgeous 21st cakes from here, which tasted absolutely delicious. They also looked beautiful, and the store itself is clean and aesthetically pleasing. Just remember for all things nice, try sugar and spice. Beware: I have heard they shut for two weeks twice a year, in January and July. Therefore you may want to take note.
