Went on a date night with my wife(obviously) and we thought that instead of eating at dome, we thought we would try some Japanese. We both asked the waitstaff for their recommendations as the closest thing to Japanese I have ever eaten is sushi from the local noodle box. I must admit, I’m a big eater so unfortunately even though the $ 35 dish that came out for myself was a little disappointing as I knew it wouldn’t satisfy my appetite. My wife on the other hand received a very adequate sized main so she was pleased as she doesn’t eat very much. After a few asahi beers and main I was pleasantly surprised I was quite satisfied and had just enough appetite for a Baskin and Robin ice cream across the road. So although slightly overpriced for the midland area, it does have a great location and fantastic tasting food and very attentive service. Maybe if they work on the prices I could afford to come back ;)

I dined here for lunch for a business meeting during the week. The service was very slow, worse still to delay things even further they forgot to bring out two mains and had to be reminded twice. These mains came out as the rest of us were finishing our meals. I had the Chirashi set which was poor value for the price. For $ 31.50 I got a small standard serve of mixed sashimi, bowl of rice, miso and some salad. The equivalent I could get from one of my locals in Vic Park for $ 20. The salmon pieces were quite large and it was fresh but the remaining piece of tuna and kingfish were a little chewy and strong smelling. I tried a piece of tuna sushi from someone elses plate and the tuna tasted on the cusp of going off. Noone wants to eat fish raw if its not fresh. Poor value, poor quality and poor service. Won’t be back. Score 3⁄10
