Gosh there were some lovely bags here. All leather and therefore all above the $ 100 mark by either a little or a lot. Unfortunately, I’m a big fan of big bags, so everything was well over $ 200 but at least there’s nothing over $ 300. The designs were modern and classic to edgy. They also had leather backpacks which I was very happy about. Not that I could afford it, I was just happy to see it, that’s all. They cater to most crowds so that means you might like some styles but you might not like others. From edgy to soft and sweet, there’s generally something for all tastes. All you need is $ 250 and you’re fine.

Bags, bags, BAGS! I am the Imelda Marcos of bags and Who is Hue accommodates my addiction just way too easily. Totes, purses, handheld, shoulder bags, satchels, leather bags and plenty more styles for you to devour. I’m generally a fan of glamorous looking labels such as my fave Guess bags, but Who is Hue offer a range of chic, trendy and alternative styles. Therefore, it’s very unique to other bag stores and is definitely worth going out of you way for. Who is Hue are in the same price range of the high-end labels so don’t go here if you’re out for a bargain or just something cheap to pick up for a night out.

Who Is Hue? Good question. Answer: as far as I can glean, this Hue beast is an enigmatically cool Melbourne accessories label without so much as a website and making some of the coolest bags I’ve ever seen — I’m talking superior to Miu Miu, Chloe et al — out of some seriously beautiful Italian leather. Who Is Hue is also housed within the hallowed halls of the CBD’s Melbourne Central, and has a strictly no bags above $ 300 policy which sounds steep. But for bags this beautiful? A virtual steal. Looking from the outside in Who Is Hue appears to be achingly cool, all bondage style bucket bags and sassy studded satchels, but inside Who Is Hue is just a beautifully realised little boutique selling a range of clutches, totes, satchels and more. Its sweet staff are a perfectly lovely counterpoint to Hue’s sometimes tough looking totes and I think, if only in the name of research, I’m going to have to return to Who Is Hue for another look at, and feel of, their gorgeous designs. Just don’t be surprised if I leave with one — or more — of their beautiful little bags.
