Has sooooo many gluten free options which is hard to come by especially this far out of the city. The gnocchi was amazing, best I’ve ever had. 2 of the 3 of us loved our meals and the service was great

Spot on! Enjoyed an absolutely beautiful Brekky at The Firehouse today. Décor, staff and the food was superb. Thankyou!

The menu here has the feel of an inner city restaurant, so it’s location in Ringwood makes it somewhat of an exception to the normal offerings around town. The food almost always pleases and the coffee is great albeit a little strong for some — you might want to order some hot water on the side if you don’t like your long blacks this way. The service here is usually friendly and amicable, with the exception of one male staff member who appears to be the manager. If you don’t call ahead(even for lunch for two on a weekday) you will likely be reprimanded and asked to wait in the foyer ‘while they ready a table’ despite there benign several visible tables available. And, if you do call ahead with only 5 – 10 minutes notice he’ll likely mention ‘you haven’t given us much notice’ before taking your booking. For a restaurant in Ringwood, this is a touch on the pretentious side, and is the only negative I find about dining here. So, in spite of him, I return… Relatively often :)

Enjoy a meal anytime of day at this delightful and refreshing resturant. A small oasis of refined dining in the eastern suburbs. The food and the service are excellent and most definitely worth a visit.

Love love love this restaurant ! Happy to call it our local. No matter what you order, it always come looking amazing and tasting fabulous. The drinks also are something to mention, namely water melon and rose water mocktail and the locally made gin. The wait staff are super helpful, know their menu and are very welcoming without being annoying. I have been here with girlfriends, my husband and family — they all love it. Such a gem in little old Ringwood!!! My favourite place to go !!

Terrible appetizers! Do not order the babaganoush, fried chicken, falafel or barramundi quesadillas or really ANY of the appetizers! Not fresh, the seasoning of it all was just off, weird and not remotely complementary to the food. Half-assed and you can taste it. We had to go get pizza to cleanse our palate. Cute place, that’s all.

I consider fire station the best restaurant in the greater Ringwood area. I try to go there regularly as its near my house and I’m always happy. The food menu is of high quality as are the drinks/bar. I would only recommend people to go here.

A glass of wine & the cheapest thing from the menu(fish & chips) was $ 41. Food took a long long time to come out. You’ll get better quality fish n chips at the local for $ 8&10 minutes.

Situated in an old fire station, The Firehouse is one of the most upscale dining experiences East of the city. As the Urban sprawl envelopes the area, it’s only logical that the demand for places like The Firehouse would pop up, and from what I’ve seen, the place is in high demand. Every time I have been here it has been fully booked up, and deservedly so. The food is fantastic, the service is quite good, and the menu boasts dishes you won’t find anywhere else in Ringwood. For an experience such as this however, there is a cost. The Firehouse is also one of the most expensive places to eat in the area, with a lunch consisting of one meal, one drink and a coffee chalking up an easy $ 40. I was there last week, and had the omelette for lunch, with a beer and a coffee. The omelette was sensational, full of Italian cheese and sautéed mushrooms. Not oily or overly salty, it was a good lunch size and left room for me to check out the superb dessert menu. With a group of 8 of us, I must note that the service was great until the desserts came out, and we were given another tables order. This left a couple of us with no dessert, and the staff were forced to come and apologize, then leave those without dessert waiting until well after the rest of us were finished until they received theirs. We were compensated with free coffee though, which was nice.

Heading out of Ringwood to the east and after the major shopping centre business gets pretty sparse in terms of cafes and eateries. The last of the restaurants is the Firehouse, a rather posh looking establishment with vines on the walls and big glass windows to look out to the road. While not the most appealing of sights, it does fill the space with amazing light. I’d recommend this as the special occasion eatery rather than simply a spot to grab a bite. The meals are pricey, so if you’re after something small head to the shopping centre. The ambiance and service of the place, however, is amazing, along with after dinner drinks in a lounge area found upstairs. The staff are wonderful and good at recommending dishes and prompt delivery of fabulous feasts.
