SpinStar indoor cycle studio is a dedicated studio. We have created a space that is a pleasure to be in and filled it with awesome Keiser M3+ spin bikes and some of melbourne’s best instructors. Our convenient pay as you go system with no lock in long term contracts means you don’t pay for anything you don’t use. Our online booking system is the only one in Melbourne that allows you to book into a class and reserve the bike you want to sit on.

History

Established in 2014.

SpinStar has just opened in a warehouse in Prahran which has been beautifully renovated to become a single purpose indoor cycle studio. Owner and founder Pam Meyerowitz has created it because she believes that indoor cycle is perfect for all people of all ages and all fitness levels but it has a reputation in gyms of being for the super fit only. She has created this single purpose studio based on a model in the US that is particularly successful and that is growing in Australia.

I have been a computer programmer in the mainframe banking industry for over 20 years. I have enjoyed my career but not completely loved it or felt inspired by it.

In my private life the things that have made me happiest have been creating situations that people love. In the past few years I’ve started to think that I want to do something else, something that excites me and something that will make people happy.

I’ve been an avid participant in spin classes for over 15 years. It is an incredible form of exercise and when taken by a excellent freestyle instructor, no two classes are ever the same. The music changes, the classes change and 45 minutes fly past.

An idea started to grow. And grow. I wanted to create a space dedicated to spin only, filled with instructors who were as varied from each other as they were brilliant within their own styles. A space that clients felt like names and not numbers. A beautiful space that did not feel like a gym.

So now we have SpinStar.
