Coup de foudre pour les curries de Sheni! Resto bien placé à Melbourne, au coeur du CBD. Clientèle très variée(businessmen, étudiants, touristes). Ambiance bon enfant. Carte aux prix modérés. Personnel souriant et dynamique.

Its quick. Its cheap. It’ll warm you up on a cold day. Get a curry, poppadom, some spices, rice and some veges to spice up your afternoon. For someone with a sensitive constitution, I didn’t find the curries too spicy to handle.

With just $ 10 you get a nice biryani and they have some nice sized appetizers. I had my favorite medhu vadai and it was delicious. Was longing to eat rice and this place was a life saver for my 2 week business trip to MEL. Surprised by the few reviews across about this place. I went for lunch and this place was pretty much active and almost at some point lines were formed. This place badly needs some marketing and advertisements to increase branding and publicity. Great place for a lunch and i would highly recommend. Would not mind trying it again.

Great little Sri Lankan place where you can get a heaping(and, more importantly, delicious!) plate full of curry goodness for less than $ 10. The smaller plates(which are still extremely generous) are something like $ 7.50 or $ 8. One thing I like about their plates is that they’re full of different tastes — not just one or two curries with rice, but several different sides which makes the meal that much more satisfying. Definitely recommend this as a solid lunch spot.

Another little gem in the city, great curry puffs — maybe even better than Funky Curry. I usually ask for Random Curry™ — just ask the nice lady behind the counter to give you a selection for the day — it’s all so DAMNGOOD! They also do take away in case you wish you take this awesome curry back to your desk.
