PsyAx Australia is a private memory clinic and diagnostic neuropsychology service in the heart of Melbourne.

We work with people who may be experiencing difficulties with their memory, concentration, or other types of thinking skills.

We provide a range of services including: memory checkups, cognitive screening, dementia and ABI assessments, neuropsychological testing, decision making capacity assessments, expert medicolegal opinions, neurorehabilitation, and counselling.

We work with people with progressive neurological disorders such as MS, Parkinson’s disease, or dementia.

We also have many years of experience working with people with an ABI from a head injury, stroke, infection, substance use, hypoxia, or other cause.

Dougal P.

Business Owner

Dougal Phillips is a clinical neuropsychologist based in Melbourne working in private practice and public health and is the principal neuropsychologist and director of PsyAx Australia.

He has a friendly, practical approach. His assessments are responsive and hypothesis-​driven, and his feedback is clear, timely, and helpful.

Dougal has a Master of Psychology (Clinical Neuropsychology) from the University of Melbourne and is fully endorsed as a clinical neuropsychologist by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
