This was my first experience at this fast chicken establishment that is so prevalent in Australia. Chicken is a scary thing to do for fast food, especially if it isn’t fried and even then people tend to do it wrong. This place was pretty on par with expectation, in fact several servings reached above expectations. We got the combo platter which came with different cuts of the chicken in different cooking preparations. Most of it was very tender and juicy, however there were a few pieces that were over cooked to the point of being charred. What I liked about the chicken was the seasoning. This ain’t the colonel’s 11 herbs and spices, but it was pretty damn good. They offer sauces with different degrees of heat. We tried the mild to start and as one server at another restaurant in the states said to me once, go with mild if you want American hot. The sauce was layered and different levels that hit you at different times. The sides offered were a plenty, but we went simple. Corn on the Cobb and chips… mind you that Chips in this former British colony means fries and not potato chips. Otherwise, it was a pretty awesome experience to get something quick on the run while trying to maximize my time in this city.

As a frequent diner, I have to say the food was cooked to perfection and the service top class. This is clearly Australia’s best Nandos.

I’m a Nandos fan so I can’t really write a negative review of this franchise other than if they burn my burger or serve me over-cooked fries!!! Great location in the CBD — the store was renovated towards the end of last year and the interior design’s changed as well. I like the new look — more vibrant and not boring. Service is good too so will definitely go back when I get a chance.
