Morris and Sons are a bit of a one-stop-shop for your yarn needs. They do have one of the most extensive ranges of Noro yarn around. The upsides of Morris and Sons: — great sales! You can get some real bargains — great membership program — knowledgeable staff The downsides: — city location doesn’t have a cozy vibe — they can get super busy so you may need to wait for advice — some of the yarns are pretty pricey — wait for the sales! They have a new updated website that offers online shopping too!

Apparently craft is the new black. Ok so I like wooly knitted jumpers but I am NEVER going to knit one. I know every one has put down the booze and picked up the knitting needles lately, but ill be darned(pun) if I could ever figure out a whole cable knit sweater. This shop smacks of up market mature lady; not the touchy feely, organic, hemp, free trade wool of Brunswick St. The store is bright, clean and… expensive. I don’t know much a bale of wool goes for these days but if the knitting craze continues I know where im putting my(little) money. Buttons, zips, crochet hooks, needles, thread, bits and bobs. Its all there.
