Kenny’s bakers is the height of efficiency and economy. I frequent it so much that I didn’t even think to write a review as it would be like writing a review of eating at home. The chicken schnitzel salad is my indulgence of choice and at ~$ 6 is a steal compared to other players around town. I can’t speak highly enough of the staff who deal with chaos like crossing the street in Hanoi, they just do. The quality, whilst not date night good is, by my reckoning, still top notch. I regularly go there to get my hands on a freshly baked bread roll($ 1.50) and bring fillings from home because it is so darned delicious!

Kenny’s on Collins is a relatively new arrival to the CBD area and even though I’ve never been to a Kenny’s before, I had the opportunity to pop into this location a half dozen or so times over the last few weeks on my way to work. That sentence doesn’t really do the experience justice though. First of all, I try to start work just after 0600. Yes, that’s 6AM for those of you who can’t count to 24. I am a morning person, through and through. Being at my desk by 10 past 6 is my preference… so for Kenny’s on Collins to be open and have stuff ready to go by the time I wander past: That’s just fantastic! Second of all, I mentioned that I went in a half dozen or so times, right? Well, on about visit 5 the staff had already recognised me, and as I grabbed a juice out of their fridge and headed to the counter, they had already put my croissant in a bag and were standing there with a huge smile. That’s service, and that is what I like. I had already memorised the amount from the previous few visits and had exact change. And as I departed on Friday the cheerful grin came with a «Have a nice weekend!» — that, at just after 6 in the morning. love it. I have only ever had a croissant at Kenny’s so I can’t say much else about their baked goods, but for the service alone, I’d be willing to try them out!
