You know pretty much exactly what you’re going to get at one of these In A Rush cafes, which is a good thing when you are on the go and want to grab something you know will do the job (even if it’s nothing amazing). Good for pre-made toasted sandwiches and coffees, with some super-cheap breakfast bacon and egg muffins/sandwiches to draw in the morning rush crowd.

In a Rush have a number of branches across the city, this one is just by the NGV Australia in Federation Square. Perfect for lunch all year round, In a Rush changes their menu according to the time of year. Winter brings all the lovely homemade soups to the front, from tomato and basil, to meatball or Greek chicken, there is something for everyone. Summer weather is matched with wraps, rolls or salads. Takeaway or sit in is available, as well as a number of special offers (soup and salad for $ 10). I would recommend the ricotta & tomato open sandwich or the homemade treats for an afternoon sugar hit.
